BOSSES at the Ollerton Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB) say that vulnerable people living in the surrounding villages will be hit hardest if it loses vital funding from the local authorities.

The bureau currently offers outreach services in Blidworth, Bilsthorpe, Clipstone and Rainworth - but these may be under threat if Nottinghamshire County Council reduce its funding.

Service manager Linda Cowx said: “Outreach is one that is likely to go because we cannot fund it from reduced resources.

“The statistics are quite sad - the people who go to the outreach tend to be people who do not have access to public transport.

“The statistics show that one in four people are disabled and one in five are over 65.”
