Nuisance neighbour handed three-year ASBO
A NUISANCE neighbour has been handed a three-year anti-social behaviour order prohibiting her entering streets in the Mansfield and Ashfield area.
Sharon Dennington, of Park Street, Sutton has plagued residents and neighbours and making their lives a misery with her rowdy and drunken behaviour.
Following joint action by Ashfield District Council’s ASB team and Legal Services section and Nottinghamshire Police’s Safer Neighbourhood Team for Ashfield North, the 36-year-old was given the order today, Thursday 7th March, at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court.
Accusations made against Dennington include her shouting, verbally abusing people coming to the door, including police, threats to kill, cat excrement thrown at a neighbour’s door and threatening to burn a neighbours’s house down.
Defending, Louisa Treharne, said he client accepted only a small part of the behaviour described and said no criminal charges had been brought against her.
As part of the order, she is prevented from entering several streets including Prospect Place and Bentinck Street in Sutton, as well as Willoughby Court on the Bellamy Road estate in Mansfield.
It also prevents her from shouting, swearing or the playing of loud music.
