NOMINATIONS are now open for the Mansfield Volunteer Awards 2013.
The annual event celebrates the achievement of volunteers and the voluntary sector in the Mansfield district.
The Awards are organised by a steering group of tenants and residents who volunteer themselves, with support from officers from Mansfield District Council and Mansfield Community & Voluntary Service (CVS).
The event is also in partnership with Mansfield District Tenant and Resident Groups, Ladybrook NMT and Mansfield Woodhouse Community Development Group.
There are six different categories; Andrew Wallace Memorial Award, Young Person’s Award, Outstanding Volunteer Award,Margaret Wilson Memorial Award, Emily Dawes Memorial Award and Community Group Award.
Application forms are available from visiting visit www.mansfield.gov.uk/volunteerawards.
The closing date for nominations is Friday 26th April. The nominators and the winning volunteers will be notified by the 30th May 2013.
The winning volunteers and the person who nominated them will be invited to the awards ceremony, which will take place on Thursday 6th June, at the John Fretwell Centre, Warsop, Mansfield.
