One person was flown to hospital following a crash at Warsop today, Saturday 26th April.

The incident left the A60 closed near to the junction with Church Street.

Police, the fire service and the ambulance service were called to the scene shortly before 1pm, while an air ambulance also landed on The Carrs.

Fire crews from Warsop, Edwinstowe and a specialist rescue unit from Tuxford were in attendance.

One eye witness said the crash looked like a ‘bad rear-end shunt’ and that the roof of one car had been removed.

A casualty was extricated from one vehicle and taken to Queen’s Medical Centre by air ambulance.

Reports suggest there is traffic queuing back to the Eastlands Lane junction.
