A school has been awarded £500 to deliver a fun maths workshop to its pupils.
Oak Tree Primary School in Mansfield was handed the cash by the Royal Institute of Great Britain to invite specialist maths firm, Architecture Workshops.
The children will work to build a roller coaster and a helter-skelter out of canes and rubber bands, looking at the maths principles around shapes and develop their problem solving skills.
Sarah Moore, headteacher said: “We are really looking forward to seeing the impact that this workshop will have on our learners.
“We hope it will give our teachers a new perspective to use in their future teaching.”
