A pub has rallied to raise thousands of pounds for a member of staff who suffered life-threatening injuries in a violent Mansfield town centre attack.

Scott Taylor, who works as a chef at The Talbot on Nottingham Road spent seven weeks in hospital after being the victim of the serious assault in March.

But his bosses and landlords of the pub, Martin and Stacey Briggs, launched an appeal to help him and organised a raffle to win a Liverpool shirt signed by captain and England star, Steven Gerrard.
