Man who died in Cuckney crash named

The pedestrian, who died following a collision with a car in Cuckney, has been named as Johnathan James Masters.

Johnathan, known as Jay, 25, of Mansfield Woodhouse, was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre after the incident, which happened on the Warsop side of the junction of Budby Road and the A60 at around 6.30pm on Friday March 4, where he later died.

Johnathan’s family paid tribute to him saying: “We are devastated by the events of last Friday but are comforted by the knowledge that some of his donated organs have made a difference to other people.

“We would also like to pass on their gratitude to all the emergency services and staff at the QMC that cared for Johnathan.”

Johnathan’s family has requested that no flowers or tributes be left at the collision site.
