Man killed by train at Sutton level crossing
A MAN has been killed after being struck by a train at a level crossing in Sutton this morning (Thursday).
British Transport Police officers were called to Coxmoor Road level crossing just after 6.30am.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A BTP spokesman added: “Paramedics from the East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man and inform his family.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
