Man in court over Kirkby pensioner death
A MAN charged with the manslaughter of a Kirkby pensioner has appeared in court.
Scott Kennedy (39), of Hill View Road, Kirkby, appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded in custody.
Colin Hall (76), of Cornerpin Drive, died after being attacked at home on the evening of 10th February.
Mr Kennedy is also facing a charge of attempted robbery and a firearms offence.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 5th March.
A 33-year-old man arrested during the inquiry has been bailed pending further inquiries.
Two other men from the Ashfield area arrested in the days after Mr Hall’s death have since been released without charge.
