When former soldier Charlotte Perkams decided to raise cash for the Help for Heroes charity she didn’t fancy jumping out of a plane or cycling the length of the country.
So instead the 26-year-old rounded up a bunch of her curviest friends and persuaded them to strip down to their bikinis - and wash some cars into the bargain.
The bikini car wash is set to take place between 10am and 4pm at the Rufford Arms, in Chesterfield Road South, on Saturday 27th July.
Charlotte, who served in Iraq and now works for the Lighthouse estate agents, said: “Help for Heroes is the best cause there is but I really didn’t fancy jumping out of a plane, so we came up with this idea. We’re hoping that lots of cars will stop and let us give them a clean. Despite how it may sound, this is really a family fun event and we are having bouncy castles and other attractions for the children as well.”
Companies including Lighthouse and Marston’s Brewery are sponsoring the event.
