Kirkby manslaughter suspect detained

A MAN accused of pointing a gun at a 76-year-old Kirkby man who died of a heart attack has been further remanded in custody until May.

Scott Kennedy (39) of Hill View Road, Kirkby, is charged with the manslaughter of pensioner Colin Hall.

It is alleged to have happened on the evening of 10th February at Mr Hall’s home in Cornerpin Road.

Kennedy is also charged with possession of an imitation firearm and attempted robbery.

Nottingham Crown Court was told today the firearm was an unloaded BB gun.

Judge John Milmo remanded Kennedy until 23rd May when he will be expected to enter his plea.

A provisional trial date was fixed for 29th July.
