‘I will stab and kill you’ Kirby man told ex-partner

09-0565-2

Mansfield Magistrates Court

09-0565-2 Mansfield Magistrates Court

A KIRKBY man has been jailed for six months for headbutting his former partner and making threats to kill her.

Biron Jones, of Wollaton Road, pleaded guilty to both charges when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court.

The 21-year-old visited his former partner’s home on 13th August and got into an argument with her about money.

Jones left the property but later came back yelling: “I will stab and kill you.”

The court was told he then grabbed the woman by the neck and headbutted her.

District judge Diane Baker sentenced Jones to a total of six months and granted the victim a restraining order.

She said: “You threatened to stab her in a deliberate attempt to terrify her. It was a very frightening incident.”
