France prize for Sutton book seller

SUN, sand and script will be awaiting a Sutton mum of three after she won a trip to France as part of a home-selling network competition.

Nicola Kelsall of Young Crescent, is one of eight winners of a visit to the South of France thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit as a home-based worker for Barefoot Books.

Nicola sells the range of multi-cultural children’s stories, and art and crafts within the community she lives using a variety of methods and has proved so successful she is being rewarded with a four night break to the riviera.

“I’m really pleased to have won a trip to France,” said an excited Nicola. “With three young children this job allows me the flexibility to work from home as well as getting great books into the area which give an international flavour to stories and open up the world to youngsters.

“I’m looking forward to spending a few days with some amazing businesswomen, having fun as well as strategising for future success.”

As well as earning money for herself through the scheme, the job also creates opportunities for fundraising.

Barefoot Books is a publishing business employing ‘ambassadors’ across Europe and North America to sell their products allowing book lovers to earn an income through flexible working within their own community.

Nancy Traversy, co-founder and CEO is looking forward to welcoming Nicola and the other seven winners to her home in France.

“The excitement and passion that Nicola brings to sharing Barefoot books and the Barefoot lifestyle with the East Midlands community makes us incredibly proud.”
