Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is urging people to take extra care to keep themselves and their families safe this Bank Holiday weekend during planned industrial action by the Fire Brigades Union (FBU).

The union has proposed three periods of industrial action, from 12 noon until 5 pm on Friday 2 May, from 2 pm on Saturday 3 May until 2 am on Sunday (4 May) and from 10 am until 3pm on Sunday 4 May, as part of an on-going dispute with the government over pensions.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has contingency plans in place to ensure 999 calls are responded to during the proposed strike periods, but resources will be limited.
