A father-of-three died when the motorcycle he was riding was in collision with a car near Kirkby at the weekend.

Mark Christopher Buckley was riding a blue Yamaha 125 along Derby Road, near Notts Golf Club (Hollinwell), when he was involved in a collision with a blue Fiat Doblo taxi.

It happened at around 5.35am on Sunday, 30th March.

The 34-year-old was taken to King’s Mill Hospital and then transferred to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre, but died that afternoon.

In a statement, his family said: “Mark was a loving, proud family man who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He leaves behind his partner Rachael and three children.”

A 35-year-old man arrested in connection with the crash is on bail pending further enquiries.

If you saw the vehicles in the moments before the collision, or have any information, contact Detective Constable Helen Neaverson on 0115 9672225 or call Crimestoppers anonymously.
