Dog walkers urged to keep pets on lead at Huthwaite’s Brierley Forest Park
Dog walkers at Brierley Forest Park in Huthwaite are being urged to keep their dogs on a lead near the fishing pond.
Dogs that are off leads potentially endanger the welfare of the wildlife at the fishing pond and the council is reminding residents that dogs should be kept under control around the immediate vicinity to reduce any risk.
Ashfield District Council has placed visible signage around the area and is asking members of the public to contact them if they witness dogs off a lead in this area.
Community Protection Officers (CPOs) and the Water Bailiff also routinely patrol the area.
To report an irresponsible dog owner or for further information please call the Council on 0800 183 84 84.
