Have your say

A horrified daughter was left stunned after receiving a letter of condolence from the council about her mother’s death, despite her being alive and well.

Ann Read, of Clayworth Court, Mansfield, was sent the letter from Nottinghamshire County Council offering their sympathies, and saying they would look into any outstanding charges.

Ann’s mother, 99-year-old Violet Baxter, has lived at Parkside Home on Mansfield’s Olive Grove for the past five years, with financial assistance from the state.
