Dad’s house party assault on partner in Shirebrook
A ROW at a Shirebrook house party led to a jealous dad assaulting his partner, a court was told last Wednesday.
The victim told police she had been in a ‘volatile’ relationship with Jonathan Millband.
The couple threw a party on 11th August and a row blew up at around 2am the next day prosecutor Sarah Haslam told Chesterfield magistrates.
“She says she was accused of whispering something to another male at the party and he grabbed her from behind in anger. He denied dragging her or pulling her hair,” she said.
Millband (20), of Alcock Avenue, was arrested and said he loved her and did not want to lose her. He admitted assault and sentencing was adjourned until 17th October.
