Costa Coffee store is on way for Mansfield

COSTA Coffee is to open a new store in Mansfield town centre.

The coffee shop chain is to move into the former New Look site later this month.

Yesterday, a Costa spokesman said the firm was looking forward to opening a shop in the town.

“We can confirm that we will be opening a new Costa store in Mansfield at the end of February,” said the spokesman.

“We are proud that despite the economic downturn, we have continued to open stores to satisfy consumer demand, providing jobs to those in the local areas.”

News of Costa’s arrival in Mansfield has been welcomed by the town’s mayor, Tony Egginton.

Mr Egginton said: “It is extremely gratifying that they have decided to invest in Mansfield during these austere times and create some much needed job opportunities.”

New Look moved from the premises to the former Woolworth’s site last year.
