Community News - Teversal

St Katherine’s Church: Reader Graham Clarke led worship at Sunday week’s Holy Communion. Associate Priest, the Rev Adrian Dempster, was celebrant and gave a talk called The Promise Of God’s Eternal Kingdom. Janet Pursglove led intercessions and Maureen Dempster and Pam Clarke presented bread and wine. Harry Hannam and Ruth Young gave Bible readings and organist was John Dunn. Church stewards were Averil Higginson and Margaret Brunt. There was prayer and Bible study last Tuesday week. On Wednesday week churchwarden John Caunt and Andrea Temporal took harvest produce to St John’s Church, Mansfield, for the Beacon Project for the homeless. During the harvest weekend £300 was raised for the church’s link village in Bangladesh. On Thursday week members of Christian stitchcraft group met at the Scout Hut.

Teen Brek

At Saturday week’s meeting at the Scout Hut members made Christmas decorations, played games and talked about future events. Leaders were Jane Crafts, Anne Baines, Ann Patrick and Chris Hopkinson.
