St Michael’s Church

Holy Communion was celebrated by the Team Vicar the Rev Barbara Dale. Canon Keith Bingley and Phillip Briggs assisted in the service, which was also a celebration of Harvest Festival. Michael Keeling was sidesman and Jean Holmes organist. Readers were Pauline Woodhead and Enid Dunstan.

Members of the Sunday Club sang Dingle Dangle Scarecrow and showed the congregation their Harvest art. Francesca had a tomato caterpiller, Katie created Madam Carrot, Hellie a potato man, Andre a slender apple and Jonathan an apple rocket. Then Sarah taught the congregation the signs for

Alleluia, field, Lord, and thank you.

The evening Patronal Festival was shared between the Rev Barbara and Keith Bingley with Barry Clay, Ralph Holmes and Dawn Doust reading. Jean Holmes was organist. The Harvest produce was later donated to the Mansfield Salvation Army Centre.
