St Mary’s Church

Morning praise was led by Val Pearce. Lessons were read by Val Pearce, Derek Large and Jim Cockett. Lynda Woodward gave the talk. Intercessions were led by Kathleen Brown, Jim Cockett, Val Pearce and Lynda Woodward. John and Marlene Bickley were sidespersons. Russell Toplis played the piano. Jennifer Milnes and Ena Webster provided refreshments.

Unitarian Old Meeting House

Morning service at the Old Meeting House was led by Kevin Stone. Mr Stone’s theme was commitment and government and in his address he drew on his experience in local government and politics in Derbyshire. Sunday School was led by Christine Wright. The choir sang One More Step from the new Unitarian Hymn Book, Sing Your Faith. Organist was Bill Brown. Steward was Paul Frost, who took the collection. Church secretarr Neil Fisher offered the thanks of the congregation to Mr Stone for his service and gave the notices for the week. Refreshments were served by Pat Cairns.
