Chow Oriental charity to hold charity night for Chad/King’s Mill Hospital’s £750,000 MRI Scanner Appeal tonight

DIRECTORS from The Mint Indian restaurant say they hope to raise as much as £1,500 for Chad’s life-changing MRI Scanner Appeal during an upcoming charity night.

The fundraiser will take place at The Mint’s sister restaurant, Chow Oriental, on tonight (Thursday) with 50 per cent of the takings going to boost the coffers of our ambitious £750,000 campaign.

The event will also involve entertainment from Mercury, a Queen tribute act, champagne reception, world food buffet and a charity raffle of prizes kindly donated from local businesses, including Mansfield Town Football Club, Chad, Acorn Signs, Mansfield 103.2 and Mansfield Manor.

Chef, and event organiser, Shofiqul Chowdhury said: “We are a local business and this is a local charity so it is fitting we support them.

“The hospital is something that everyone will need to use at some point in their life and we want to do our bit.

“At The Mint we are all about the community and that is why we are supporting the MRI Appeal.”

Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.

All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
