Charity night is a success
A FUNDRAISING entertainment night at Underwood Miners’ Welfare raised £881.24 for the children’s charity, When You Wish Upon A Star.
The event - organised by Selston’s Steve Hodgkinson in association with L’Oreal, for whom his wife works for - featured performances from a number of acts, including eight-year-old Luke Ball dancing to Michael Jackson’s legendary hit Billie Jean and up-and-coming female singers Loretta Brown and Naomi-Joe Biggin.
Now preparations are well underway for the next charity night at the same venue on 24th November, which will double up as a Christmas special.
