John and Pauline Stringfellow present 767 to Jayne Burkitt of KMH after raising money from a dance night

A CHARITY sequence dance night helped raise £767.20 Chad’s life-changing MRI Scanner Appeal.

The event was organised by New Houghton woman Pauline Stringfellow and took place at the Speedwell Room in Staveley on 17th November.

Caring Pauline is a regular fundraiser and has helped raise thousands of pounds for The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance service.

We have teamed up with King’s Mill Hospital to launch our massive £750,000 campaign to help hospital bosses purchase a state-of-the-art MRI scanner.

Said Pauline: “I am delighted with the amount of money we raised. The support I had was fantastic.

“We had some excellent raffle prizes donated, I can’t believe just how well it went.

“A few years ago my husband needed an MRI at King’s Mill Hospital and this was my way of paying the hospital back.”

Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.

All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.

See the Chad website for all the latest news on the MRI Scanner Appeal.

If you have a story or are doing a fundraising event for our MRI Scanner Appeal, get in touch with Stephen Thirkill on 01623 450292, by emailing stephen.thirkill@chad.co.uk or via Twitter @StephenThirkill.
