The multi-storey car park on Walkden Street, Mansfield has reopened after being closed for more than three weeks.
The building was shut at the start of the month while Mansfield District Council carried out an extensive survey of the building.
Work has been carried out over recent months within the car parking areas of the building along with further extensive surveys that were required to ascertain if any additional work was necessary.
The surveys confirmed some work to the fabric of the building was required, which has been completed on the first two levels, allowing them to be reopened ready for the Christmas shopping period.
The shopmobility service, which is located on the ground level of the car park, has also now reopened.
Bev Smith, corporate director for regeneration and regulation, said: “We have worked quickly to carry out the necessary checks to allow us to reopen the car park and reduce disruption for shoppers.”
