Six people were injured when a single-decker bus and a Volkswagen Jetta collided in Annesley on Thursday.
Emergency services were called to the crash on the junction of Derby Road and Annesley Cutting at about 10.45am.
Six people received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
The road was blocked while the vehicles were cleared and it re-opened 11.50am.
Ian Rooks, manager of the Badger Box pub, said road safety at the junction had been improved since a 30MPH speed limit had been introduced on Derby Road.
He said: “That junction is a bit of an eyesore but I don’t think you can improve it. The roads are only as dangerous as the people who drive on them.”
