A HEART-BROKEN motorcycle enthusiast is appealing for help after thieves stole his rare Harley Davidson bike.

The incident happened between 10.35pm on 1st December and 4.45pm on 2nd December when thieves broke into a detached garage in the back garden of a house at Gardiner Terrace in Stanton Hill.

Police have made enquiries in the area and officers believe the burglars used another vehicle to remove the chopper-style bike from the premises.

The bike is a limited edition 1800 CC Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson in red and black.

Distraught owner Liam Foley (46) said: “Everything revolves around motorcycles for me - that’s my world. I’ve had motorbikes since I was a kid.”

He also urged anyone with information to come forward.

“I’ve not long had it out on the road and it was a good weather bike at that,” he said.

“It was a limited edition bike so there will be very few on the roads.

“Fellow bikers would definitely notice it if they saw it but I would ask anyone who sees it to call police.

“My wife and I are avid bikers and this one we liked to get about on.

“Please call police if you know who took it from us.”

Witnesses or anyone who knows the whereabouts of the motorbike should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
