Alfreton man charged with murder
AN ALFRETON man have been charged with the murder of a dad-of-six in Derbyshire.
Officers arrested and charged Jamie Elliott (26) of North Street after 48-year-old Michael Moss was found injured at a house in Canal Street, Ilkeston, on Wednesday 30th January.
A post-mortem examination carried out as part of the murder investigation revealed Mr Moss died from injuries suffered in an assault.
He was found by neighbours who called 999 but he died on the way to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
A second man, 23-year-old Nathan Hall, who is thought to be from the Somercotes area, is also charged with murder.
Two others, from Ilkeston and Derby, have been charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH) in connection with Mr Moss’s death.
All four have appeared in court and the next hearing will be at Nottingham Crown Court.
