AFC Mansfield directors Andy Saunders, Steve Hymas and Darren Bland are pictured donating a £500 cheque for Chad’s life-changing MRI appeal.
The caring club raised the cash by donating the gate receipts from their recent home game against Bentley Colliery in the Central Midlands Football League.
Director Andy Saunders said: “We are a community-based club and want to give something back to the community. Equipment like this is vital to the Mansfield area and the club is fully behind this campaign.”
More than £80,000 has been raised for our ambitious campaign since Chad teamed up with King’s Mill Hospital on 27th June as kind-hearted volunteers and business come forward with cash help.
Hospital bosses say the new MRI scanner will help provide safer and faster diagnosis to hundreds of thousands of patients over the next seven years.
The current facility treats around 10,000 patients each year.
Chad teamed up with hospital bosses on 27th June to launch the ambitious appeal to raise £750,000 to help King’s Mill improve their service by purchasing a new state-of-the-art MRI Scanner.
Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.
All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
See the Chad website for all the latest news on the MRI Scanner Appeal.
