50p parking aims to boost business in Mansfield town centre
SHOPPERS are being reminded that they can park for just 50p an hour in Mansfield town centre on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until the end of October.
The offer applies at the Walkden Street multi-storey car park, which has 455 spaces and is open from 8am to 6.30pm. Mansfield District Council has introduced the offer with the Business Improvement District (BID) to encourage more people to visit the town centre.
Coun Kate Allsop, portfolio holder for economic regeneration, said: “I hope this offer will bring extra visitors into the area, encourage residents to shop local and mean those that already visit Mansfield can afford to stay for longer.”
