What a drear and lacklustre but all too predictable response from our local MPs regarding the budget.

How disingenuous of them for not having a single good word to say about the good news in the Budget, either regarding the rise in industrial output, the lower projections of public borrowing, the increases in employment, the raising of income tax thresholds, the freezing of fuel duty and the good news for savers and pensioners, as just a few examples amongst the many bits of good news to be had.

It is a fact that the Budget contained good news for most sections of the economy, which I can understand is probably the worst news of all for Labour as it just proves once again how wrong they have been on just about every aspect of how to rescue the economy from the dire financial mess in which they left it.

It is without doubt that they brought the country to it’s knees with their complete financial ineptitude and they have obviously learned nothing since.

The response from our local MPs just proves once again, if more proof were needed, that Labour are nothing more than the party of political spite and envy, and have neither any ideas nor any meaningful policies which would assist in the recovery.

Ironically their slogan is “One Nation Labour”, it’s a shame their actions and behaviour doesn’t even come close to matching their rhetoric.
