LIBRARIES across the area are appealing for bookworms to donate any unwanted books.
The appeal comes after Nottinghamshire County Council approved an initiative for folk to giveaway books to any of the county’s 60 libraries.
Library bosses say books will need to be less than three years old and in good condition.
Said Coun John Cottee, cabinet member for culture and community: “Donations will be evaluated by library staff in the same way they select normal bought stock. So they will consider how books fit with the overall collection range, the depth of subject covered by a book, accuracy, legality and customer demand.”
