LANGWITH Lodge Residential home has launched two projects to help bring back memories to elderly residents with dementia.
The plan involves the redecoration of one of the rooms in the facility to allow residents to ‘step back in time’.
Home manager Lynn Gedling has launched an appeal to the community to donate any items from the 1950s and the 1960s for the facility.
The nostalgia room is currently being decorated with 1950s wallpaper and curtains, and the home is hoping to acquire a floor lamp, pictures, clocks, ornaments and furniture.
The second project needs small items for memory boxes used for creative therapies.
If you have any items to donate contact Lynn or Dawn on Mansfield 742204.
