Laminate flooring and a pet snake were amongst the unusual things stolen by burglars from a Langwith home.

The thieves broke into the house on East View, Whaley Thorns, between 9am on Wednesday January 22, and midday on January 29.

Police said they smashed a window to break in, and stole laminate flooring from the living room, three electric heaters, a dishwasher, a pet corn snake and sentimental photographs.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Derbyshire Police on 101.
