CARING Kirkby woman Wendy Slack is pictured donating £630 to Jayne Burkitt, radiography services manager at King’s Mill Hospital, in memory of her mother Mary on behalf of Chad’s ongoing MRI Scanner Appeal.

Wendy, who was joined by family members Lydia Slack, Julie McGarrigle and Amy McGarrigle, handed over the money, which was raised during donation at her mother’s funeral,in order to say thankyou to the hospital

Said Wendy: “Ward 33 took wonderful care of my mum when she was in and we just wanted to say thankyou. This is a local charity and all the money will go straight to the appeal.

“My mum had MRI scans when she was in hospital and we want other people to benefit in the future.”
