A KIRKBY PCSO dressed as Father Christmas to raise money for charity.

PCSO Victoria Batterham was one of 22 members of her family who dressed as Father Christmas for a 3km fun run at Rushcliffe Country Park.

She took part in the fundraising to raise money for her nephew who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

Victoria said: “My two-year-old nephew, Hayden, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was born and I have been looking for an event to be able to raise money for the cause. This Santa Fun Run was perfect.

“There were a few of us doing it in the end. I think we made up a third of those participating.”

Together, Victoria and her family — including Hayden — raised nearly £1,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and hope to hold a fun day next year to continue to raise awareness and money for those with the condition.
