COMPANIES are being asked to put forward a team for the first Nottinghamshire Charity Dragon Boat Festival to help raise funds for people affected by autism.
Officials at the Nottingham Regional Society for Adults and Children with Autism (NORSCA) want companies to take part in the event at King’s Mill Reservoir on 4th September and raise funds for
the Nottingham Regional Society for Adults and Children with Autism (NORSCA).
The event is set to take place at King’s Mill Reservoir on 4th September to raise money for teams of between 15 and 17 people, who will race 40ft-long dragon boats.The four fastest groups will then go head-to-head in the grand finale.
NORSCA spokesman Darren Worthy said: “The Dragon Boat Festival is a fantastic way to raise funds for charity while at the same time having a wonderful time with a group of friends.
