ARCHEOLOGICAL artefacts from Kings Clipstone discovered by the Time Team will be revealed when the programme airs on Sunday at 4pm.

The television crew visited the site of King John’s Palace with a group of historians and archeologists in a bid to unearth the past.

The site is home to the ruin of ‘King John’s Lost Palace’ and stands overlooking the Royal Hunting Park of Sherwood Forest.

“It was a year ago when the team actually visited to film the first episode of a series of 19,” explained landowner Mickie Bradley. “Ironically it is the last dig to be screened. Hopefully they have saved the best till last.”

To coincide with the programme, Mansfield Museum are opening an exhibition which runs until 28th April, charting the history of the site including never before seen objects found on previous digs.
