Have your say

HELLO and welcome to the latest edition of Kids’ Squad. I don’t want to speak too soon but we have been having some lovely sunny weather! I hope it lasts - at least until you have to go back to school.

This week I have news of a Barbie popstar Academy in Mansfield and a brand new play area which has opened at Clumber Park.

How have you been spending your summer holidays? Why not share what you have done with other Kids’ Squad readers?

Write to Kids’ Squad, Mansfield Chad, 121, Newgate Lane, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG18 2PA.

In the meantime, enjoy your week.

From Catherine.

IF you are a fan of Barbie and would like to know what it feels like to be a pop star, then the Barbie Popstar Academy in Mansfield could be right up your street!

Mansfield’s Razzamataz stage school is hosting a free Barbie Popstar Academy at West Notts College on 1st September.

The class is aimed at everyone aged between four and eight-years-old and you can book your place now.

During the event, you will go on a magical journey with Barbie and learn lots of songs and dance routines.

You will also be able to try singing, dancing and acting - but don’t worry if you have never done this before because there will be plenty of teachers to help you. At the end, you will perform in a very special show for your families.

To book visit www.razzamataz.co.uk.

HAVE you ever been to Clumber Park near Ollerton? If you have you will know it’s full of lots of fun things to do. You can ride your bike through the beautiful woodland on your bike or find out what life was like in the old days. Now you will be able to enjoy a new play area called the Burrow. For little ones there is a small ball pool, lion rocker, small steps and much more. And for children aged between three and six there are painting easels, sand and water tables as well as hoola hoops and space hoppers.
