HELLO and welcome to the latest edition of Kids’ Squad. It’s not long now until the Easter holidays so I have some ideas about fun activities in the area. I have also spoken to my friends at Mansfield Museum who have a very special challenge for you all! As always, this is your own page so please send me your pictures, stories and news. You can write to me at Kids’ Squad, Chad Editorial, 121, Newgate Lane, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG18 2PA or email catherine.allen@chad.co.uk.

From Catherine

Does your gran look like the Queen?

THIS summer, Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee which means she has been on the throne for 60 years!

To celebrate the anniversary, Mansfield Museum is organising a party - and staff at the museum want to find someone who looks like the Queen.

That’s where you come in.

We want you to find someone who you think looks like the Queen.

It could be your mum, an aunt, a neighbour or a friend. It might even be your teacher or dinner lady!

The best look-a-like will be invited to the Jubilee street party which takes at Mansfield Museum on 8th June between 10am and 2pm.

She will also be asked to open the museum’s Our Queen exhibition which runs from 2nd until 30th June.

If you manage to find a Queen look-a-like, ask them to call Jodie Henshaw on Mansfield 463088 or email jhenshaw@mansfield.gov.uk.

Music and dance this Easter

THE Easter holidays are almost here - and there is plenty going on at Mansfield’s Four Seasons shopping centre to keep you entertained.

The B:Club is giving you the chance to try out Zumba on 2nd April between 11am and 3pm at the Zumbatomic workshop.

And on 9th April between 11am and 3pm, you will be able to make a musical instrument from recycled materials.

Becoming a member of the B:Club is easy and free - all you need to do is speak to a staff member at the workshop and you will receive a membership pack.
