Kids Squad - 21st March .... Draw a picture and win a prize

CHILDREN from St Edmund's Primary School in Mansfield Woodhouse pay a visit to Yeoman Hill Park to see the crocuses they planted just before Christmas. Now it is springtime, the flowers have bloomed and they have made the park look very colourful. Teacher Vicky Carr said: 'The children loved it. They said it was great and looked really pretty.' Pictured from left are Darce Roberts (six), Joe Redfern (five), Jason Stevenson (five).

Draw a picture and win a prize

AFTER the dark days of winter, it seems that spring time is here at last.

Everywhere I go, I see colourful yellow daffodils and bright cherry blossom on the trees.

This week, I am running a competition for you to show off your skills by drawing a picture with a spring theme.

You may want to draw the flowers you have seen or perhaps even baby animals.

You could use crayons, pencils, paints and glitter - anything that will make your picture stand out.

I have teamed up with Wilkinson to offer you the chance to win a £10 voucher which you can spend on arty essentials.

All you have to do is send in your picture of spring and you will be entered into a draw to win the prize.

I will also publish the best pictures in Kids’ Squad.

Send your pictures to Catherine Allen, Kids’ Squad, Mansfield Chad, 121, Newgate Lane, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG18 2PA or email catherine.allen@chad.co.uk before 30th April. Please remember to include your full name, address and day-time phone number.
