MANSFIELD’S Four Seasons Shopping Centre has joined with British Heart Foundation (BHF) Shops to ask the town’s shoppers take part in the Great British Bag-athon.
Over the weekends of 25th-26th August and 1st-2nd September, the Four Seasons will be holding a Great British Bag-athon event asking shoppers to fill bags with clothing, shoes, accessories, CDs, DVDs, books, toys etc.
BHF volunteers will be on hand to give out Great British Bag-athon bags which can be brought back to the drop of point in the centre or given directly to the BHF shop.
Rebekah O’Neill, centre manager at Four Seasons Shopping Centre, said: “We are delighted to support the British Heart Foundation with their Great British Bag-athon challenge. We want as many people in the local community to be involved, and bring their donations into the Centre whilst doing their shopping. Why not get together with family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues and see how many bags you can fill and donate. This is a fantastic way to show your support to someone who is living with heart disease or celebrate the memory of a loved one”
BHF area manager, Mechelle Hopkins added: “Local Shops are always looking for extra stock, so donations are crucial for us to continue the fight against heart disease. Thanks in advance to everyone who takes up the Bag-athon Challenge and donates bags.”
The Great British Bag-athon at the Four Seasons will be officially launched on Saturday when Coun Roger Sutcliffe, will donate the first bag of items.
