A sponsored fun run is being planned for next month, and organisers are hoping to make it bigger and better than last year’s.
The run at Brierley Forest Park, Huthwaite, is to raise money for Hetty’s - a Mansfield-based charity which supports parents whose children have descended into drug addiction.
There were more than 121 people who took part in last year’s event, and more than 65 have so far signed up to take part in the upcoming race on 6th July.
It is a 1.5 mile run, jog or walk suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs around the park, and people entering are invited to wear sparkly clothes to raise awareness.
There is a £3 entry fee per person, and anyone interested in taking part can ring Emma-Jayne Knights on 01623 643476.
