It’s a wee fine for two men caught short in Tibshelf

TWO men have been fined after being caught urinating in public in Tibshelf.

The men, aged 24 and 28, were both caught urinating in a car park in the village on 8th April.

The men were seen in the Brooke Street car park by a woman and her child in broad daylight.

The woman called police and both men were identified and reported for summons to court for the offence.

The 24-year-old man denied the offence but was found guilty at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates Court and fined £133.

The 28-year-old man pleaded guilty to the offence by letter and was fined £83 in his absence.

PC Lorna Evans, of the Tibshelf and Blackwell Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “This type of anti-social behaviour is totally unacceptable and I hope this will be a lesson to the two men involved that we will not tolerate it.
