MANSFIELD chiropractor Ulrik Sandstrom will be taking part in an ironman distance triathlon on Sunday to raise money for Arthritis Research and Diabetes UK.
Ulrik, who works at the Oaklands Clinic on Nottingham Road, hopes to raise £5,000 by completing the gruelling Outlaw Triathlon at Nottingham’s Holme Pierrepont.
He has been inspired to take part by his 13-year-old daughter, who is a diabetes sufferer.
“I just need to think of her and how she has no choice; if she can stick a needle in herself four times a day - I can get up and get on my bike.” he said.
Ulrik has been training for the event for four months and to sponsor him, go to http//uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/TeamChiro.
