The inquest into an autistic man who died at King’s Mill Reservoir more than three years ago will be held next month.
Majid Akhtar, who had a mental age of four and needed constant care, had been on a supervised activity trip to the reservoir.
The 28-year-old from Nottingham is believed to have entered the water while on a walk.
Following his death, Mr Akhtar’s family said they were devastated, angry and demanded answers as to how the tragedy could have happened.
The inquest will begin on October 1, and is expected to last two weeks at Nottingham Council House with more than 20 people set to give evidence or have statements read.
