These awards have been running for 35 years have and honour the best site managers delivering the highest quality homes.

John was selected from around 15,000 UK site managers, and was one of only 17 recognised at an awards ceremony for his involvement with the site at Sandlands Way in Forest Town.

Richard Hartshorn, NHBC regional director, said: “I have visited hundreds of sites, and to reach this level of the competition means without question you have to be the elite of this industry.

“John is building homes of a very high standard, and is worthy of a seal of excellence.

“At NHBC we believe that recognising the workmanship of the best site managers plays an important role in bringing high quality homes to consumers, creating homes we are proud to live in.”

John, site manager for David Wilson Homes, said after his win: “It’s getting the right team around you.

“I’m lucky here at Sandlands to have fantastic bricklayers, joiners and contractors working on homes built to an exceptional standard.”
