Saaj Hoque, owner of the Huthwaite Tandoori, clowns around as he welcomes guests to an all you can eat buffet charity night in aid of Chad’s MRI Scanner Appeal on Monday night.

The restaurant, which is localed at 17 Market Street, served 57 diners during the charity night, which also featured a live signer.

Mr Hoque said he was inspired to hold the event after a recent visit to King’s Mill Hospital.

He said: “I went to King’s Mill Hospital with my aunty and know the need of the hospital having the best scanner.

“The scanner will be used by thousands of people and I want to do my bit to help the hospital and help the community. We are happy with how well the event went.”

Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.

All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
