A man was left with multiple stab wounds following a night of violence in Huthwaite.

Connell Mercer (22) suffered several stab wounds and received hospital treatment following an alleged attack on Oakland Avenue in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Brothers Daniel Edwards (20) and Adam Edwards (21), both of Chesterfield Road, Huthwaite, are charged with the malicious wounding of one man and assaulting, occasioning actual bodily harm, a second man.

Daniel Edwards did not apply for bail, however, an application was put in for Adam Edwards by defence solicitor Chris Perry, who represented both.

Both were remanded in custody, Daniel and Adam Edwards are due to appear before Nottingham Crown Court on 23rd December via videolink.
